He's 3 now
As a matter of fact, he's been three for over two weeks, but I haven't gotten around to posting about it. I never did post pictures of Noah's birthday party last year because our camera had broken and thus I took some with a -- gasp!-- disposable camera (yes, they do still sell those!).
Mom-guilt being what it is, I couldn't let another birthday go by without posting a bit of this and that from our celebration.
All in all it was a wonderful occasion and I am really enjoying all that "three-ness" has brought us already. What a kind, clever, imaginative, opinionated, energetic and sensitive boy he is. He delights us with many laughs, challenges us with his clever questions, touches our hearts with his reverence.
We love you, Noah! Happy birthday, little one!

He requested a new felt crown two days before his birthday.
My hand-sewing skills could hack this, but not my time-management. Glue-gun it is.
He also requested a chocolate cake with pink icing.
I am pleased to say he got this idea from the Winnie-the-Pooh story where Christopher Robin hosts a party for Pooh, and Silly Old Bear hopes that the cake has "pink sugar icing".
Read-alouds pay off, what can I say?
We invited family (we also did a second small gathering with his wee friends, but all the photos I have of that event have kids' faces in them, and I don't want to post pictures of other people's children without their permission.)
Oh look, it says "Appy Birthda". The sheers are in the way. Ah well.
Isaiah loves a good party (sporting new teeth and all).
You're next, Sweet Little Guy!

My goodness, those boys are a handsome duo! Happy Birthday, Noah. Well done, Jenna: I am craving chocolate cake with pink icing. Or maybe just pink icing.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Noah! I can't believe how those sweet boys are growing up. Are you all coming to the March for Life next week? I saw Patrick had mentioned on Facebook that he was. I love your yellow walls - what a cheerful and happy room! And great job on the glue-gunned crown! Heck, you cut out the felt and put it all together. That's what matters most. They don't see our blanket stitches at three...trust me!
