9 things that made me smile this week

1.
Noah said, "I'm happy, Mommy." When I asked him why, he said "Because I love you."

2.
Isaiah pulled himself up onto both feet. He was so adorably proud of himself, and so strong and steady.

3.
Noah found a copy of a video called"Prenatal Development" and saw the photo on the cover of an unborn baby at seven weeks and said, "That's a baby! That's amazing!" (This was the first time he ever said "amazing". I was delighted by him using it that way in a sentence.)

4.
My husband made dinner for us and my in-laws.

5.
We picked up the meat from the Farmer's Market where my friend Katie's husband works as a butcher. (Sorry Katie, I can't get a hyperlink to work for your blog!)

6.
Noah's hero is the aforementioned butcher. I thought it was so cute that when he saw me hacking a squash this week, he said in awe "Mommy is a butcher too!"

7.
My in-laws did a really big favour for us. Huge. It reminded me once again what a blessing it is that we live so close to both sides of our family.

8.
We celebrated Noah's name day (on the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul; Paul is his middle name). He was thrilled that we set the table with china and baked him a cake too! (Gluten-free, but that's another story.)

9.
I dressed the kids in matching outfits, being the crazy woman that I am, and filmed a video for a certain little cousin's birthday. (I unfortunately can't get it to upload, so here's a photo of the moment):

Really, there were so many other beautiful, happy, joyful, sweet moments this week,
but I wanted to make sure I recorded at least some of them right now.
I don't want these moments to pass me by.

  1. Eek! I don't know what I love more...a baby pulling himself to standing or your adorable matching boys :) I like matching my girls as well, it cannot be helped.

No worries about the link. I'm just dying to know how that meatloaf turned out?? I followed the link over to pioneer woman and it looks delicious!!!

  2. Precious, sweet and simple moments. Happy memories. You are blessed to have both your parents close by and I hope you know it. It has been such a cross to us over the years to be far away from family. Enjoy it, even when it isn't easy!
