We're still here, just not blogging as much
Well, haven't I been negligent on this blog? In reality, it's because Patrick is glued to this MacBook at every waking hour, the poor man, as he works 9-5, redesigns the horribly outdated CLC-NS website (which I won't hyperlink to, because seriously, it is painful) and finishes yet another course for his M.A.
Somehow, he is not burned out.
But I managed to talk him into taking vacation time this month!
So we're enjoying a 5-day weekend! We're finishing our Christmas shopping and diving into the last-minute crafting that will ensue. {Oh wait. This is me, last-minute crafting is anywhere between the 23rd of December to the last possible second, when I hand it over to the giftee...} but mostly just enjoying our incredibly warm weather with no snow and two adorable, adorable boys.

Isaiah, when did you get so big?
Must be all those middle-of-the-night nursings....
This sweet boy can scoot around in circles and can get up on all fours and rock back and forth, like "if I just try a tiny bit more, I'll crawl!" It's exciting to watch!

In terms of photography, this may be the worst picture ever.
But I love it so, because it captures Noah's look so much. That sweet, innocent smile.
Seriously, I wish you could hear him sing "O Come, O Come Emmanuel."
I think his guardian angel's heart melts along with mine.

There are happy things happening in this home -- St. Nicholas day was a hit. Noah got real Play-Doh (not Mommy's botched homemade rubbish) and Smarties and GOLDFISH CRACKERS in his shoes! He almost levitated! And Isaiah seemed pretty impressed to see a whole avocado in his Robeez.
My thoughtful St. Nick husband put a bar of Lindt 85% dark chocolate in my shoes. Love that.
And yesterday was the Immaculate Conception, also my mom's birthday. We were privileged to enjoy Mass and brunch with her and my dad, and Noah insisted we have cake "with candles!" so we did.
Monday is Patrick's birthday, a lovely day for us all to slow down and thank him for working so tremendously hard on our behalf. Isn't it fitting he was born on the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron of the unborn?

I don't think I knew that De. 8th is your Mom's birthday - no wonder she is so wonderful. And, I love both of those pictures of the boys and the whole avocado in the Robeez (I would do that).
ReplyDeleteAh, so that is why you were all at Mass yesterday morning. Isaiah is looking more and more like Noah, both very handsome boys. And fitting indeed that Patrick was born on the feast of Our Lady of Guadelupe. Please give him my best wishes.
ReplyDeleteYou have such sweet looking boys! I also adore Isaiah's knitted hat :)
ReplyDeletePlease wish Patrick a very happy birthday from both Ben and I!
I had a good laugh at the image of an avocado shoved in some Robeez. :) See you in TWELVE DAYS!!!
