Moment, I
Today's "moment" will be picture-free, unfortunately, as my camera is at my parents' house. As well, this would be a difficult moment to capture with a photo.
Poor little Isaiah threw up today, and not just the little milky blurbs babies do here and there, but full-on projectile vomited multiple times and wailed in between each heave. I panicked. I've never seen a baby throw up. Patrick came out and saw the ruckus and asked me to keep him informed of what was happening, in case he needed to be taken to the doctor.
I told Noah we needed to go sit in the living room so I could nurse his brother. His idea, however, was to put a pillow on his lap and say "It's okay, Isaiah, I will hold you until you feel better."

The joy of watching your own child show empathy.
That's the moment I'm savouring today.

Aw what a little sweetheart Noah is!! Poor Isaiah:( Hope he's better! My children have never thrown up..it must be awful!
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet, sweet Noah!
ReplyDeleteAmata has done that (throwing up) once or twice without being sick at all. Just her stomach too full and up everything came. She's also done it when sick - just this last week she'd cough so hard she'd throw up. So, here's hoping it was a fluke puke, or for a speedy recovery from whatever stomach bug Isaiah has.
