2010 in review
January
A happy quiet month at home in our apartment.
Noah celebrated his first Epiphany
with a lovely gift from his Nana (a homemade ark, of course!)
he cut some new teeth
and generally we were together and happy.

February
An uneventful month (in the good sense). Lent began, and we turned a little more inwards.
March
We started attending a monthly family Rosary and potluck with some fellow Nova Scotian Catholics

Here we are dressed up one Sunday on our way out to visit these friends.
April
We celebrated Easter.
Our great little source of joy turned a year old!
One year of blessings and joy that can't be captured in words.
May
We returned to our former home, Ontario, for a visit

May
We returned to our former home, Ontario, for a visit
Noah had oodles of fun playing with his cousins
June
After much prayer, we decided to start looking for a house. Here. In Nova Scotia.
We celebrated two years of marriage
(and went out for our FIRST baby-free date at night in 15 months. Dessert at Il Mercato. Yes!)

And Noah discovered his love for watermelon. Lots of it.
July
We bought our first home!

And then only a week later, went to PEI.

I also turned 26.

August
We enjoyed settling into our new home

September
We announced some wonderful news!

October
We celebrated Thanksgiving, I was sick as a dog with our new Baby, and we had a most fabulously fun All Saint's Eve to cap off the month.

November

We made baking messes in preparation for Christmas. It was glorious.
December
Patrick turned 25.
That still makes me laugh, because he's such an old soul.
I tease him that he's been at least 25 since he was 18.
(Sadly I accidentally deleted all my photos of the three birthday cakes and celebrations we had in his honour. Yes, three. He works mighty hard, and loves a good cake as thanks.)
We did a fair bit of crafting and baking.
We reveled in the oddly warm weather.

A very happy Christmas was celebrated by the four of us.
What an amazing journey 2010 was! I am so in awe of what 2011 will bring for us.

ReplyDeleteYou all look so happy and lovely. I can't believe how much Noah has changed in one year. Of course this shouldn't surprise me, as I've seen my own kids grow...but you don't see it as much in your own little people. You are wonderful parents! Keep up the good work!
